How Melasma Can Be Easier With Triluma

By Kelly Weiren

What is Triluma? It is a medicated cream that is made to help ease the symptoms of a condition called Melasma. Melasma affects mostly women, but there is also a small percentage of men who suffer from it as well. Most of the time, darker skin tones are affected, and family genetic history also factors in as to whether a person will develop this skin condition.

Pregnancy has been known to bring on symptoms as well. Usually, dark spots and patches begin to appear all over the face and upper body, with the majority of them being on the face. Places like the forehead, the bridge of the nose, cheeks, the upper lip and chin are the most common, however, patches are also known to appear on the neck and forearms. Because they are so prominent, it is hard to hide with makeup or tinted creams and moisturizers.

The number of women who suffer from it number approximately at six million and are very widespread in their living demographics. Some families are more genetically prone and will pass down the gene to their children and grandchildren. It depends on your racial background and genetic history as to whether you will possibly suffer from any of these physical symptoms.

Triluma combines cortisone, a bleaching agent and a form of Vitamin A. You must be careful not to apply or use any other abrasive cleaners or skin peel lotions during this time, since the combination effect can be devastating in terms of aggravating your existing symptoms. It's also very important to avoid the sun, use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when you are outside.

This is not a long-term treatment, usually it only lasts six to eight weeks. In this time period, you can see improvement in the coloring of these spots and patches wherever they are placed on your body. As with most conditions, if you're pregnant, you must first check with your doctor before using this or any other skin treatment.

The possible side effects that come with the use of this cream should be checked out between you and your physician, and definitely do not use with any other medications that may cause physical conflicts at the same time. Indoor tanning is also something that will only aggravate your condition, and should be avoided while on this medication regime. Since your skin may have a drying reaction, just be sure to keep your skin as moisturized as possible during treatment.

Triluma has shown great results with a lot of people and may possibly alleviate your condition as well. Perhaps consider asking your doctor for a sample before you commit to purchasing an entire tube, and see if your results start to show after consistent use. When you find a medicine that works for you, it can give you great peace of mind knowing that relief is on the horizon and should be there soon.
